Whistleblowing (report an employee, executive, Councillor or person acting on behalf of Council)

The South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) is committed to the highest standards of integrity, accountability, transparency, and good governance. Members of the public, employees, Councillors, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders are encouraged to report any suspected fraud, corruption, unethical conduct, abuse of authority, conflict of interest, or other irregular activities involving SAPC employees, Councillors, committee members, contractors, consultants, or service providers acting on behalf of the SAPC.

This portal is specifically for reporting misconduct relating to SAPC operations and officials. It is NOT intended for complaints against pharmacies, pharmacists, pharmacy support personnel, or pharmacy services. Reports may be submitted anonymously, and all reasonable steps will be taken to protect the identity of whistleblowers.

Lodge a complaint (report a Pharmacy or Professional)

Any person(s) who observes or experiences unprofessional conduct, unethical behaviour or misconduct on the part of a person registered with the SAPC may report such conduct to the SAPC. Persons registered with the SAPC include pharmacists, Interns, pharmacy students, pharmacist assistant’s and pharmacy owners.

A person registered with the SAPC shall at all times act in the interests of promoting health. A pharmacist or pharmacy support personnel should maintain and enhance the honour and dignity of the pharmacy profession. In doing so, they shall refrain from any activity which may discredit the profession. The SAPC is empowered to inquire into and deal with any complaint, charge or allegation which may be brought before it in any manner whatsoever.
